Florida, May 2 – The 63rd Oral Bivalent Polio Vaccination Campaign concluded in Florida with a 98 percent completion rate in its first week, according to Dr. Naida del Pilar Prendes Caballero, head of the Immunization Program at the Municipal Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology.
1670 of 1688 infants were vaccinated and this week we continue with the recovery of pending cases due to illness problems or other causes.
The doctor thanked and congratulated the health personnel of the two vaccinatories of the municipality for the success achieved in this vaccination campaign that looks for keeping polio eliminated, which is considered the most relevant result of Cuban Public Health in the field of prevention.
