Florida, April 27.- The municipality of Florida reached the top in Camagüey emulation for May 17 and conquered the headquarters of the provincial event to celebrate the Cuban Farmer’s Day here.
A significant group of results and motivations supported the decision to celebrate, together with the rest of the people of Camagüey, the 65th anniversary of the signing of the first Agrarian Reform Law and the 63rd of the creation of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), a reward for the efforts of thousands of men and women who promote the performance of the local peasant sector.
The success of the Process of Strengthening the Base Structures, the response to political-social tasks and assignments inside and outside the sector, the growth of the ranks and compliance with the financial plans of the agrarian organization, among other indicators, supported the decision of the ANAP provincial bureau.
The fulfillment of the number one patriotic duty of the Cuban peasantry, to produce for the people, also influenced the results of the emulation for May 17 and, therefore, the upcoming celebration of the provincial event for the anniversary in the municipality of Florida obliges support, with force majeure, the planting plans for various crops, and the collection and marketing of milk and meat, among other items of high popular demand
