Youth Seminar for Martí Studies Held in Florida (+Post)

Florida, April 25 – Promoting, studying and learning about the life and work of José Martí was the main objective of the Youth Seminar on Martí Studies held in Florida with the participation of students from all educational levels.

Eleodoro Carvajal García, Master in Educational Sciences and president of the José Martí Cultural Society in the territory was in charge of the opening words of the 48th edition of the event, which was held at the Luis Casas Romero Culture House for primary and special education and at the Center for Documentation and Pedagogical Information (CDIP) for secondary education.

The educational work of Cuba’s National Hero, his contribution to the formation of values through the stories of La Edad de Oro, his independence thinking and his love for nature were some of the works presented by the students, which generated debate among the attendants and the attention of the members of the tribunals, this year integrated by the methodologists of History, teachers and directors of the General Directorate of Education.

The students who were winners in the 48th edition of the Youth Seminar of Martí Studies in Florida will participate in the Camagüey Provincial event scheduled to be held next May.
