Florida, April 16 – The first secretary of the Communist Party in Camagüey, Federico Hernández Hernández, visited the Florida Home for Children without Family Protection, accompanied by the highest political and governmental authorities of the territory, toured the Florida institution together with Yunior Vega Rivero, general director of Education, and talked with its workers and the children.
The Member of the Central Committee was interested in knowing about the attention, comfort and feeding of the children in this educational institution, and also inquired about the collaboration they receive from the entities, organizations and Local Development Projects.
The director also inquired about the center’s computerization services and said that the children of the home should have access to computers to consolidate their learning in line with the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
During the meeting, the party leader also had the opportunity to talk with members of the Federation of Cuban Women who minutes before had made a donation to the children living in the Home for Minors without Family Protection.
