Florida, April 5 – A clinical trial on poliomyelitis is being carried out in the different polyclinics of the province of Camagüey at the request of the World Health Organization (WHO) with the intention of demonstrating that a 0.1 dose of the Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine is more effective than the 0.5 doses used in other countries.
This research also reached the municipality of Florida and Dr. Naida del Pilar Prendes Caballero, responsible for the Immunization Program at the Municipal Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology, gives details about it in an interview granted to journalist Mayelin Baryolo Rodriguez.
