Florida, Mar. 27 – The municipality of Florida obtained good results in the second Ignacio Agramonte Cup held at the University of Camagüey,8 of 10 students from the Rolando Valdivia and República Bolivariana de Venezuela pre-university institutes who participated in the event, were winners and directly obtained the careers that guarantee them continuity of studies in higher education.
Three of them obtained a major in Physical Culture; two obtained a degree in Law; one was awarded a degree in Veterinary Medicine, and the remaining two received degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, respectively.
The Master of Science Jenny Rivero Gómez, head of the Higher Secondary Department of the Municipal Education Sector in Florida, congratulated the students and teachers of the two pre-university schools of the territory for the results in this academic event and the preparation for the talented students.
The Ignacio Agramonte Cup organized by the University of Camagüey, in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Education, has as its main objective to encourage the recruitment of talented students for that academic institution and to reward the winners with the awarding of careers directly, through an individual competition with two phases: the classification and the final selection according to the interests of the specialty.
