Florida agricultural producers called upon to expedite the sworn declaration process

Florida, March 26.- After more than 60 days have passed since the beginning of the Affidavit Process and payment of the Personal Income Tax, only 11 percent of agricultural producers in Florida responded to the call from the Municipal Administration Office Tax (ONAT).

This was confirmed by the director of that entity during an exchange with presidents and representatives of the peasant and sugar collectives of the territory, in which she called for urgent work on the task, taking into account that the deadline for admission of the documents expires next April 30th.

The main official of the ONAT of Florida reported that, of the more than 2,050 farmers required to file the income declaration for the previous year, to date only 232 have completed the procedure.

Consequently, and even though the act of swearing in and paying personal income taxes is individual, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the facilitators and the Boards of Directors in each cooperative in the territory, with the objective of promoting and calling for compliance. of that significant citizen responsibility.
