Florida, March 23.- The agricultural group of the Juan Gualberto Gómez Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS), from the municipality of Florida, greeted this Friday the 100th birthday of farmer Basilio Barata Rodríguez, a living example of commitment and dedication in the tasks of the main Cuban agrarian organization.
Barata Rodríguez holds the status of founder of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP); he participated in the organization’s congress in 1964; and he constitutes a reference for the rest of the associates in the CCS, taking into account his outstanding career in fulfilling the productive and political commitments assigned in each period.
