This was emphasized by the highest authorities of the municipality during a meeting with administrative structures and local political leaders to organize the sponsorship of the mechanized cutting platoons and other groups in charge of carrying out the harvest, transport and storage of the more than 70 thousand tons of sugarcane foreseen for the current campaign.

The list of economic actors responsible for sowing enthusiasm among the harvest workers in Florida and providing them with moral and material support, according to their possibilities, includes the Commerce and Gastronomy Company and the business units Alimentaria, Producciones Varias «Ruta Invasora», Lácteos, Empacadora Tomás Rojas and de la Pesca Acuiflor, together with the General Directorate of Education and the Internal Government Unit.

These groups are joined by representatives and affiliates of the political and mass organizations of the territory, united in the mission of promoting, supporting and accompanying the harvest emulation checks, the realization of commercial mini-markets in mechanized cutting platoons and the promotion of special days of harvest and cane pulling on historical or important dates for the Homeland.

The political and productive assurance of the current sugar harvest in Florida takes on greater significance with respect to previous periods, if we take into account the importance of guaranteeing the production of this food included in the standard family basket; essential in the promotion of multiple national lines and key for the recovery of the Cuban economy, the obtaining of foreign currency and the commercial exchange with the rest of the world.
