Florida, Jan. 5 – More than 20 production units and cooperatives from different sectors, together with organizations, self-employed workers and Local Development Projects of the municipality of Florida joined forces to undertake various tasks of integral repair and assurance of services at the Manuel Piti Fajardo General Hospital.
Repair of medical and non-clinical furniture, replacement of lighting fixtures, rehabilitation and painting of walls, carpentry, plumbing and plastering work, improvements to the plumbing system and recovery of green areas and other outdoor facilities are part of the collective renovation project at the main public health institution of the territory.
Since the beginning of the actions, and up to date, there has been a favorable atmosphere of collaboration among the actors and managers responsible for carrying out the renovation schedule and, above all, of satisfaction of the patients admitted and the medical and support staff working at the Florida municipal hospital.
According to the information provided by the top management of this clinical, surgical, teaching and maternal unit, donations of supplies and resources contributed by representatives of the private sector and the state are received, kept and used on its premises, to benefit the quality of the services provided to the people.
The renovation of the Manuel Piti Fajardo General Hospital, promoted by more than 20 agencies and entities of the territory, is being carried out without interrupting the vitality of the services and minimizing the inconvenience to the population and to the patients admitted to this valuable facility of the Floridian health system.
