Florida, January 29.- Every January 29, Railroad Worker’s Day is celebrated in Cuba in commemoration of the fact that, on that date in 1975, during the ceremony for the completion of the first 25-kilometer section of the Central Line, the leader of Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, operated the Soviet locomotive M62-K.
History records that it was on May 20, 1902 when a train passed through Florida for the first time, and since then many men and women dedicate their daily work to this sphere of transportation.
