Methodological meeting of Florida school librarians dedicated to The Golden Age

Florida, Jan 27.- To talk about José Martí, as far as children’s literature is concerned, is to refer to his masterpiece, The Golden Age, a well-known publication edited by the Cuban hero in New York in 1889, which was discussed in the methodological meeting of school librarians at the primary level gathered at the Florida Municipal Documentation and Information Center (CDIP).

At the event, which greeted the 171st anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba, the librarians agreed that The Golden Age is a children’s classic written by Martí with accessible language, always showing the greatest respect for children.

The literary analysis of the stories Bebe y el Señor Don Pomposo and Los zapaticos de rosa, which appear in Marti’s transcendental publication, had the attention of those attending the methodological meeting, which also had the assistance of library science students and guest teachers. .

Talks, conferences, book presentations and exhibitions of audiovisual products are some of the proposals that school librarians at this level develop in educational institutions to exalt the literary and patriotic greatness of the most universal Cuban, to whom tribute was paid in the mornings in each student campus this Friday.
