Florida ends 2023 with budget deficit

Florida, Dec. 27.- Specialists from the local Directorate of Finance and Prices estimate that at the end of 2023, the transferred income will be overfulfilled in Florida, but with a financial contribution still insufficient to cover the municipality’s budget deficit, a monetary situation that limits the socioeconomic activity.

At the beginning of the year, the municipality’s budget deficit was calculated at 403 million pesos, and according to administrative estimates from the State Treasury, at the end of the current calendar only about six million can be reduced from that financial debt.

To cover this budget deficit in Florida, income had to be exceeded throughout the year, and more than 30 million pesos had to be obtained each month, an objective that could not be achieved, since contributions from sales were insufficient, and once again the requirements were not met. expected economic profits.

In Florida, greater control and demand are also demanded over the financial and economic activities of actors belonging to the private sector, to avoid tax underreporting and to guarantee that everything corresponding to taxes is contributed to the State budget, in order to finance the programs. social and new public works for the benefit of the population.
