Florida, December 19.- Commissioners of various disciplines and coaches from provincial high-performance centers in Camagüey recently identified in the municipality of Florida a total of 57 athletes between 11 and 12 years of age as talents with immediate perspective to enter the next academic year. the Cerro Pelado Sports Initiation School (EIDE) in the provincial capital city.
On this occasion, Floridian athletes are identified in more than 20 sports, with highlights during this educational period for the Weightlifting and Baseball teams, with six talents each.
Among the disciplines in the municipality of Florida with the largest number of identified athletes, Wrestling also stands out, with five practitioners, and soccer, boxing and Karate, with four talents in each sport.
The municipality of Florida is confirmed as the second in Camagüey for the number of athletes it promotes to the provincial centers of high sports performance, and currently 10 young people from the territory are enrolled in national institutions of athletic education.
