Despite the limitations, Floridian beekeepers do not stop in their efforts to comply (+Post)

Florida, Nov 15.- The current limitations to advance the collection of honey, wax and propolis do not diminish the commitment and will of Florida beekeepers to make their contribution to the country’s economy before the end of 2023.

This was ratified during the plenary summary of the month of October, which was attended by representatives of the highest political, governmental and agricultural leaderships of the territory, before whom they presented the needs that prevent taking full advantage of the optimal stage of the honey harvest.

The fuel deficit now becomes the fundamental cause of the delay in the castration of the more than 900 hives located in the territory, an essential task to maintain the vitality of the Beekeeping program and support the export contracts of honey, wax, royal jelly , pollen and other items to earn foreign currency in the international market.

The municipality today has 18 promoters of these lines with 34 apiaries in production, of which almost 20 tons of bee honey have been collected to date and the same amount remains to complete the year’s plan.

At the close of the meeting, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Florida, Liliana Boudet Nápoles, reiterated confidence in the performance of local beekeepers and reaffirmed the commitment to do everything possible to accompany them in the fulfillment of her state mandate.
