Florida, Nov 14.- More than 250 kg of raw materials were delivered by the residents of zone 31 of constituency 63 of the Popular Council of the Urban Center in Florida, during the Raw Materials Festival held in that district.
Among the recycling products collected are cans, aluminum, bronze, plastic, bottles, medicine bottles, cardboard, paper, among other materials.
The ideological and vigilante of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in this territory Pedro Pablo Argüelles Martínez recognized the participation of the more than 20 neighbors who contributed with the delivery of recyclable products to support the country’s economy.
The recycling industry in Cuba was created by the Heroic Guerrilla Commander Ernesto Che Guevara on November 7, 1961.
The next Raw Materials Festival will take place on Saturday, November 18 in the Micro community in the José Martí Popular Council of the municipality of Florida.
