Florida, Nov 10.- In an emotional event attended by Yunior Peña, general director of Education in Florida, and Saskia Tamayo Roque, head of Special Education, the minors of the Home for Children without Family Protection received vitamins, backpacks and school supplies donated by the plastic artist, Michel Mirabal Martínez, better known as the painter of the flags.
The renowned Havana creator has led the Finca Calunga cultural project for more than five years, through which he links art with the community where his studio-gallery headquarters is located, and where cases of children living without the company of their parents.
Graduated with honors from the Higher Institute of Design, Michel Mirabal Martínez shares knowledge and even his economic results with community residents, hospitals, people with disabilities and homes for children without family protection, such as the one in Florida.
With excellent results throughout his professional practice, the artist is an undisputed representative of Cuban contemporary art in the specialty of visual creations, and has accumulated more than 50 personal exhibitions and participation in fifty group exhibitions in Cuba and in various countries of America and Europe.
