Cuban resolution against the economic blockade is debated at the United Nations

Florida, Nov 2.- This Wednesday the General Assembly of the Nations met in plenary session in New York, in the first of two days dedicated to considering the draft resolution that calls for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

For this Thursday, November 2, the Cuban Foreign Ministry is scheduled to present in the official session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) the report on the damage caused by this inhumane policy to the Cuban people from March 2022 to February 2023.

The cause of the largest republic of the Antilles received the support of the vast majority of the member nations of this international organization, on the 30 previous occasions in which reports were presented to the UN with evidence of the considerable damage caused to the economy of the country the restrictive measures imposed by the United States Government.

Last year 2022, in favor of the Cuban diplomatic request to end the Blockade, 185 nations voted and only two nations opposed it, Israel and Ukraine, both countries openly political allies of the American empire, author of this illegal policy of genocide against the town of this Antillean archipelago.

The economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States Government has imposed against Cuba for more than 60 years seeks to prevent development and social well-being in our country under the management of the Cuban socialist State, and to discredit the sociopolitical system that is established here. defends, which affects the quality of life and security of the population, and is a criminal practice that must now stop.
