Florida volleyball player in national pre-selection to pre-Olympic

Florida, Aug 28.- The Florida setter Adrián Chirino Callam was summoned for the National Volleyball Pre-selection, from which the Cuban senior group will come out that will participate in the next pre-Olympic event of the discipline, to be held in the Brazilian city of Río de Janeiro from September 30 to October 8 to come.

Chirino is one of the four quarterbacks that make up the Antillean pre-balloon currently made up of 25 players, of which only 14 will be selected to assemble the Cuban men’s team that will seek a ticket for the multi-sport event in Paris 2024.

For the 21-year-old volleyball player, it is his second chance to integrate a national team in the senior category, and it is appreciated in his native Florida municipality that his athletic conditions and the quality of his performance are taken into account in the youth stage, in the one who represented Cuba in various international tournaments.

One of the key areas of play in which the Cuban Men’s Volleyball Team needs to improve is precisely that of the setter, which could be an extra opportunity for Adrián Chirino Callam from Florida, who will have to do his best and maintain concentration to obtain a position in the Antillean team that will seek to qualify for the next Olympic Games in the sport of high mesh.
