Florida, Aug 9.- The working class and the general population of the municipality of Florida continue to await concrete actions and administrative measures to counteract the unscrupulous actions of resellers who multiply the prices of basic necessities, in order to increase their personal wealth, which limits the purchasing power of the majority.
Economists point out that the natural solution to lower prices is to increase the supply in the market from more production of goods and services, but in this territory, as in the whole country, much remains to be done to have high levels of supplies. Therefore, immediate government control actions are essential to curb the trend towards financial speculation and protect the working people from crooks and traffickers of food and other products.
Such a demand for government action points to the responsibility of the municipal administration to ensure compliance with the policy of the Cuban State to facilitate the population’s access to essential products, through equitable distribution and sale.
And to materialize it, more operative and efficient inspection and control bodies are needed to carry out government actions and measures that, in favor of the working class and the majority of citizens, counteract resellers and their speculative and unbridled prices.
