Florida, Aug 5.- The Public Health personnel who work in the coastal community of Playa Florida develop a group of activities aimed at the comprehensive care of the more than 300 inhabitants of the place and those who enjoy the summer in that resort.
Educational talks with the young residents of the local spa on the causes and consequences of pregnancy in adolescence and issues related to responsible maternity and paternity are among the preventive actions for this age group.
Similarly, the family doctor and nurse systematically visit and care for women with reproductive risks, which corroborates the institutional effort to prevent maternal and infant mortality and early pregnancy care, to help preserve the health of the mother and the future baby.
The work carried out by this health team together with the parents also made it possible to comply with the vaccination process for the entire universe of children expected to be immunized with the flu.
Compliance with all activities by Public Health personnel in the Playa Florida community guarantees quality care for all the residents of that coastal area and those who visit it in these months to enjoy bathing in the sea during the summer.
Dr. Betsy Martínez, a specialist in Comprehensive General Medicine who attends the Playa Florida office, spoke with journalist Mayelin Baryolo Rodríguez about the measures to be adopted to avoid damage from exposure to the sun’s rays.
