Florida, Aug 2.- The execution of the local budget, the behavior of agricultural productive activities and attention to the population’s proposals stood out among the main issues evaluated by the Florida delegates in the sixth ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power .
The delegates evaluated the budget execution at the end of the first half of this year, emphasizing the need to increase physical production to increase financial income and expand the scope of services and attention to workers in the state sector.
According to the report of the Economic Affairs Commission of the local government body, to date the income to the budget has been exceeded with a contribution of three million 500 thousand pesos above what was foreseen in the stage, a positive figure, but not yet covers the financial deficit of the municipality in this 2023.
During the analysis of this matter, Florida delegates referred to the need to produce and specify new productive chains in the territory, as well as increase control over marketing activities to attract more contributions to the state economy and ensure the prices of products that are distributed to the population in the midst of the current contingency.
In the sixth ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Florida, the delegates also analyzed the progress of the agricultural production programs during this year, where the plans for planting various crops and the deliveries of meat and milk are not fulfilled to the industry.
According to the report of the Productive Activities Commission, at the end of the first half of the year, more than 600 hectares of various crops remained to be planted, and some 12,000 liters of milk and some 96 tons of meat were not delivered, to the detriment of the food sovereignty and welfare programs of the people.
In relation to this matter, the delegates of the Florida constituencies referred to the need to increase the efficiency in the business management of the agricultural entities of the territory, as well as to increase control over the use of the land, the quality of the crops and the destination of the productions to order their distribution and commercialization according to the needs of the people.
In the report of the supervisory commission it is revealed, in addition, that this year the contracting of the agricultural productive potential is not fulfilled, and to date they stop contracting more than two million liters of milk and some 600 tons of meat, which It shows insufficiencies in the link with the producers and the lack of demand and administrative control in the furrows and dairy farms.
At the meeting of the local government body, the representatives of the Florida constituencies reviewed the management of local administrations to attend to the proposals of the population, with emphasis on the tasks that are demanded in communities and neighborhoods in need of transformation. .
Finally, the need to strengthen the relationship between the local administration directorates and the population at the base was reiterated in order to increase government control and attention to public services and problems that affect the community.
