Florida, Aug 1.- A memorable concert offered by the Cuban singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza to the inhabitants of the San Antonio People’s Council, in the municipality of Florida, after his return after six years of performing for the first time in that community.
Emblematic songs from the artist’s repertoire such as Chiquitica, Someone for me, Tell him, Stop crying, among many other well-known songs, were hummed by the people who enjoyed the performance of the renowned singer and composer.
As reported, other cultural and recreational activities will take place soon in that southern demarcation of the territory, in an effort to revitalize traditions and revive the social and cultural life of the inhabitants of that place, with a recognized trajectory of rice production, significant for the economy of the country.
In addition to the concert by Waldo Mendoza in the community of San Antonio, to the delight of the locals and neighboring towns, for the month of August other activities are planned in that Popular Council such as the Festival de la Espiga and the presentation of the Sofocador of Salsa, Paulo FG.
