Drug Prevention Week Concludes in Florida

Florida, February 23 – With the participation of all members of the Drug Prevention Commission and the Community Working Group, Drug Prevention Week concluded in the municipality of Florida with a closing ceremony held at the Agustín Farabundo Martí Urban Basic Secondary School (ESBU), located in the Argentina People’s Council area.

During the event, Public Health specialists from the district gave an educational presentation on the causes and consequences of drug use and where to turn for help for those who use these harmful substances.

The day’s activities were enlivened by the community project «Breaking Down Barriers» and included the participation of art instructors and cultural promoters, as well as the students of the school.

The teachers from the Sports Sector with their different recreational games, the representatives of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution who organized the activity and the Federation of Cuban Women with the execution of a Handicrafts exhibition also starred in the closing of the Week of Confronting Drugs carried out at the ESBU Agustín Farabundo Martí of the Popular Council of Argentina in the municipality of Florida.
