Florida, December 8 – This Monday, December 8, marks the start of Florida Culture Week, an event that will kick off with the traditional Pioneer Parade, celebrating the 101st anniversary of the municipality’s establishment until the 15th.
Beginning at 10:00 a.m., Pioneers from various schools throughout the area will parade in costumes representing local and national culture, along with other activities showcasing the joy of the children alongside their teachers and families.
The official opening ceremony will also take place in José Martí Park, with the participation of cultural workers and artists from the region, as well as the presence of party and government officials, among other activities planned for the day.
This year’s event is dedicated to Aparo Sosa, the Culture Secretary. Rafael González Borges (Guango), amateur artist, and María Victoria Martínez, specialist from the Municipal Library, the program of activities includes a new edition of the Félix Agüero Román Musical Creator Festival and the Local History Workshop, dedicated to the centenary of Fidel Castro Ruz.
