New milk cooling thermos benefits Floridian cattle farmers

Florida, June 10 – A new establishment for the collection and cooling of bovine milk was inaugurated at the Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios (CCS) Rolando Valdivia Fernández of the municipality of Florida, which will benefit, at first, about 13 producers of the entity and should receive, in the current stage, a daily volume of about 600 liters of this foodstuff.

The opening ceremony was attended by the member of the Municipal Bureau of the Communist Party Leosdany Moredo Hurtado and the Mayor of Florida Ormandys Rodríguez Sánchez, together with the highest authorities of Agriculture and the local peasant sector.

The agricultural authorities recognized the effort of the Board of Directors, workers and farmers of the CCS Rolando Valdivia in the construction and completion of the civil part of the work, which favors the fulfillment of dairy plans and eliminates the cumbersome process of manufacture and delivery of cheese to the dairy industry.

With a total capacity of about one thousand liters, the milk cooling thermos located in La Ramona farm, owned by farmer Armando Martin Perez, is a positive response to the demands of the surrounding livestock farmers, whose delivery of cheese production was affected at various times by lack of fuel and other phenomena.

On the same day, new premises were opened where two new offices of the Livestock Registry of the municipality of Florida will operate, located on the premises of the CCS Camilo Cienfuegos and Romárico Cordero, respectively, which will serve 756 livestock farmers from four Popular Councils, including three in the rural part of the territory.

Ormandys Rodríguez Sánchez, Mayor of the municipality, highlighted the importance of the recently inaugurated facilities, taking into account the need to increase milk collection for the industry, maintain control over the movement of herds and supervise the rest of the indicators that contribute to the livestock development in Florida.
