Florida, Jan 10.- The population received more than two million pesos from the sale of waste in the Base Business Unit (UEB) for the Recovery of Raw Materials of the municipality of Florida, during the past year 2022.
The increase in the price of some products such as aluminum, copper, bottles and others, and the development of Raw Materials Recovery Festivals in neighborhoods and communities far from the city, are included among the strategies applied during the recently concluded period to encourage recycling.
In the same way, the work carried out jointly with the José Martí Pioneers Organization was significant, from the more than 10 tons of recyclable waste delivered by students from all the pioneer groups of the municipality, with the help of their parents and other relatives. .
The UEB Recovery of Raw Materials of the municipality of Florida promotes the purchase of recyclable products through the three houses destined for this purpose in the territory and proposes strategies to make the acquisition of reusable waste more effective in the industries or destined for the export.
