Florida, Sep 30.- With a cultural political gala held in the neighborhood known as Florida del Este or La Carbonera, the municipal act was celebrated for the 62nd anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).
During the celebration, the residents of that Floridian demarcation were accompanied by José Antonio Ballate, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory, Evelyn Márquez Álvarez, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, Ormandys Rodríguez Sánchez, Mayor and other authorities.
The setting was conducive to awarding the September 28 distinction to Amalia Alzugaray and Pablo Balcada García, in recognition of their outstanding career in carrying out community tasks for the benefit of all the residents of the neighborhood.
Another emotional moment was the delivery of recognition to the coordinators of zones 25 located in the Rolando Valdivia popular council, 108 in Centro Urbano and 110 in José Martí.
During the Gala for the 62nd Birthday of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, entities such as the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), the Culture Sector and the municipal station of Radio Florida were also honored for their support in all tasks of the largest mass organization in the country.
