Florida, Sep 27.- The municipal act for the 62nd anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) will be held in the neighborhood known as Florida del Este or La Carbonera, of the Urban Center popular council, this September 27, in the night time.
The residents of that Floridian demarcation receive recognition after obtaining Vanguard status at the municipal and provincial levels, and for fulfilling all the tasks inherent to the largest mass organization in the country, including blood donations, the collection of raw materials, the promotion of medicinal plant gardens and family farming.
To celebrate the birthday of the largest mass organization in the country, the men and women of that Floridian neighborhood carry out tasks of painting, cleaning, beautifying and incorporating allegorical advertisements to date, and the traditional broth is also planned to share among neighbors .
The CDRs were created at the initiative of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on September 28, 1960 with the aim of mobilizing the entire people in the tasks of defending the Revolution and the conquests of socialism, through direct work with individuals and families in the community.
