Florida, Oct 16 — As of October 15, the Nayichu MSME (micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise) in the municipality of Florida has begun providing pension payment services to retirees—a step forward in the implementation of new socio-economic reforms in the area.
An agreement between branch 6021 of the Credit and Commerce Bank (BANDEC) and the non-state entity Nayichu—located in this municipality in the province of Camagüey—now allows approximately 40 pensioners to receive their monthly pension payments through this business. The process is designed to be efficient, sparing recipients the anxiety and psychological strain experienced in the past.
According to official sources at the BANDEC branch, the inclusion of the Nayichu MSME brings the total number of private-sector economic actors in the municipality participating in this vital, socially-minded commitment to three.
This new arrangement falls under «transformation 64″—part of the eighth thematic area of the socio-economic reforms currently being implemented in Cuba—which aims to counter the impact of the U.S. blockade and foster the country’s comprehensive growth.
