Florida, Oct. 12 – The Leonor Pérez Cabrera primary school hosted the launch of the Vocational Training and Career Guidance Course this Thursday. The ceremony marked the beginning of a period dedicated to steering the interests of the younger generation toward the noble profession of teaching, as well as other trades and careers.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase various «interest circles»—including those focused on traffic safety, the environment, and, notably, pedagogy—and to open a special exhibition.
Top political and government officials attended, alongside Dayamí Monedero Veitía (M.Ed.), the General Director of Education for Florida. They engaged in discussions with students, teachers, and Martha Morgan Soroa, the principal of the Leonor Pérez school.
The Vocational Training and Career Guidance Course was also launched at other primary and secondary schools across the municipality. The diversity of talents and interests on display symbolized a shared commitment to training the country’s future educators, professionals, and technicians. (Photo: Archive)
