«Pioneer Methodology Class» Held in Florida

Florida, Oct. 1 – Cándido González Morales Pioneer Palace in Florida hosted the «Pioneer Methodology Class,» a training session aimed at base-level guides and the adult leadership structure of José Martí Pioneer Organization (OPJM).

The event was presided over by Alexei Coba Suri, a member of the Municipal Party Bureau responsible for the social sector; Yailan Romero Suárez, First Secretary of the Young Communist League (UJC) in Florida; and Ariam García Rodríguez, Deputy Director of the General Education Directorate.

The meeting addressed topics such as prevention strategies and political-ideological work, vocational guidance, strengthening the OPJM’s organizational structure, and the admission processes for the organization and the Pioneer Explorers Movement (MPE). Preparations for the assembly process and the methodology for teaching Cuban history were also discussed. Additionally, thirteen local educational institutions were recognized for their outstanding work with the pioneer organization during the previous school year.

This type of methodological class serves as a form of instructional-methodological work designed to enhance teachers’ pedagogical expertise and guide their educational efforts with students; participants shared experiences aimed at improving the internal functioning of the organization that brings together Cuban children and adolescents.
