Successful Blood Donation Drive Held at Florida Pediatric Hospital

Florida, Sept. 28 – Staff at the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo Pediatric Hospital in the municipality of Florida carried out a notable solidarity drive, resulting in 43 blood donations to support local medical care.

The municipal Public Health Directorate, led by Dr. Ennis González Carrazana, commended the medical institution’s staff for this act of profound altruism, carried out amidst the current situation facing the country.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nelson del Sol, the center’s director, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic willingness of the volunteers who answered the call to donate blood, emphasizing that the principles of solidarity and humanism characterizing the Cuban public health system remain unshakable.

«More battles lie ahead, and victory is in our hands,» the director stated, highlighting the drive’s impact on the Pediatric Hospital and noting how it strengthens the response capabilities of local urgent and emergency health services.
