Florida, August 10th – The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) will present the awards for the «Fidel Lives Forever in Me» contest during the territorial event commemorating August 23rd, the 66th anniversary of the founding of the country’s women’s organization.
The event will also serve to pay tribute to the centennial of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, in an atmosphere charged with patriotic and cultural significance.
Sponsored by the FMC, the contest invited students and teachers from various educational levels to express their admiration for the Commander-in-Chief through different artistic expressions.
The event scheduled for that day will be the ideal setting to recognize the talent and sensitivity of the contestants, who, through their work, keep the legacy of the revolutionary leader alive among new generations.
Among the participants, a special distinction will be awarded to teacher Eleodoro Carvajal García, from the José Luis Tassende Special School in Las Muñecas. The teacher competed in the poetry category, sharing his literary creation with the students of that educational institution, which demonstrates the inclusive and educational nature of the project.
The participation of Carvajal and his students highlights the value of arts education as a vehicle for transmitting historical memory. The collaborative work, created in the special education classroom, promises to be one of the most moving moments of the August 23rd ceremony, demonstrating that Fidel’s legacy transcends barriers and is reinvented in every verse written by young and wise hands.
