Florida, May 4 – In an effort to generate new income and ensure self-sufficiency, the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Sugar Agro-Industrial Company, located in the municipality named after the Father of the Nation, is implementing a series of innovative measures.
The sugar workers, along with the laboratory staff, are committed to diversifying their products and services to contribute to the company’s self-financing.
Among the new products being manufactured are coffins, levame (a type of sugar), vinegar, sugarcane wine, lye, and soap, a variety that not only responds to the need to increase the company’s income but also seeks to comply with the 93 Measures of the sugar sector in Cuba, which promote efficiency and sustainability in production.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the workforce to adapt to new market demands and contribute to local economic development.
