Facing the Challenges of Today: Improving Support for the Most Vulnerable

Florida, April 14 – The Florida Municipal Administration Council called for a review and strengthening of the mechanisms for assisting individuals and groups in vulnerable situations, with the goal of ensuring that they receive any state aid and other support available to them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

«We have all the necessary structures in place in the neighborhoods and communities to promote these types of initiatives,» emphasized Yamilka González Campusano, Secretary of the local government’s executive body, citing institutional agencies and social assistance and prevention committees as examples.

The Florida municipality’s top administrative leadership is committed to ensuring the effective support of vulnerable individuals by monitoring the timely delivery of resources and food purchased by the state or donated by third parties to improve the living conditions of beneficiaries.

Children with rare diseases; pregnant women; Elderly people living alone and other individuals with intellectual, physical, or motor disabilities are among the population segments that are the object of Social Assistance and Government support in Florida, under the concept of not leaving anyone helpless amid the current economic situation of the country.
