Changing Mindsets in Food Production: A Necessity in Florida

Florida, March 24 – Reinaldo Aguilar Cruz, Coordinator of Programs for the Provincial Government, called for a change in mindsets in Florida and the search for alternatives to produce food, improve trade, and meet the population’s demands in this sector.

The official specifically referred to entities such as the Basic Food Unit, the Dairy Complex, and the Trade and Gastronomy Company, where greater emphasis can be placed on linking up with other economic actors and the capacity to produce goods using available energy sources.

During his daily check of basic services in the municipality of Florida, Aguilar Cruz criticized the time wasted on red tape and technicalities, while the population and social consumption demand a greater availability of options to include in their diets.

The Camagüey government official called on the territory’s administrative and business authorities to be agile in decision-making, organize tasks based on available resources, and reiterated the importance of thinking and acting in accordance with the difficulties and challenges facing the country.
