Florida, December 29 – With 22 years of dedication in the classroom, Idenia Quiñones Peláez, general coordinator of the Enrique José Varona Elementary School, embodies the purest teaching vocation.
Recently honored with the title of «Guide and Dream Maker» by the José Martí Pioneer Organization, she describes this recognition as a great source of pride that she shares with her family and those who support her.
For Idenia, the school does not exist without the children, and their joy is the driving force behind her dedication. She states with absolute clarity that the teacher’s continuous improvement is fundamental to being a role model for students and a multiplier of knowledge for the entire surrounding community.
As another year of service draws to a close, Idenia Quiñones does not forget those she considers her other family: the staff of her school.
Through a heartfelt message, she wishes them health and love for the coming year 2026, and reveals the profile of an educator whose work is measured by the mark she leaves on the dreams of her pioneers.
