Florida, 8 Sep.- For next year the municipality of Florida intends to operate with a state budget of more than 700 million pesos, in order to support investments, wages and basic services to the population, under the premise of increasing income, to reduce the financial deficit and achieve, as soon as possible, the status of a surplus territory.
This was reported by the Floridanian authorities belonging to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Planning at the ordinary meeting of the Council of Municipal Administration.
The meeting also evaluated and approved the proposal for the preliminary draft of the 2026 Economic Plan, as a step prior to the review of the document by representatives of the people at the next session of the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power.
The guidelines of the Economic Plan for the coming period stress the importance of promoting links between economic actors, making use of existing capacities and improving production and service indicators; in addition to promoting projects for the change of energy matrix in budgeted entities.
On the same day, members of the executive body of the Government in Florida took stock of the results of the Summer Activities Programme for the July and August stage; analyzed the progress of the schedule for registration of state properties and reviewed key aspects in preventing and confronting crime, corruption, illegalities and social indiscipline in the territory, especially in the process of handing over vacant usufruct land.
Considering it a highly sensitive human issue, the Florida City Council ordered a case study of people who assume here a wandering attitude, in order to implement strategies for care, protection, family reintegration and rehabilitation, according to local possibilities, with the support of organizations and institutions based in the district or outside it.
