Farmers at Ignacio Agramonte sugar mill are making good progress in the dairy campaign.

Florida, August 27.- This year’s dairy campaign at the Ignacio Agramonte Sugar Agroindustrial Company in the municipality of Florida has reached 86 percent completion to date, with more than 144,000 liters collected for the industry.

The El Mambí Cooperative Basic Production Unit and the Manuel Pity Fajardo Credit and Services Cooperative are leading the way in delivering this food. The El Vaquerito and Primero de Enero units remain in the rearguard, with debts from milk sales to the Florida Dairy Combine.

According to information provided by the Agricultural Subdirectorate of the Ignacio Agramonte Sugar System, of the 42 livestock producers registered in the 2025 dairy plan, less than half have reached the proposed goals.

However, the organization’s applause rewards the effort and responsibility of others, such as farmer Juan Carlos Castro Hernández of the Pity Fajardo cooperative and usufructuary Julián Sánchez of Las Marías, who are making satisfactory progress in the current dairy harvest.
