The Family Doctor Program in Florida Seeks Solutions for Community Care

Florida, August 23.—The Public Health sector in the municipality of Florida is working on the approved plan of measures to improve the Family Doctor and Nurse Program, given the current complex situation regarding the availability of human and material resources in the area.

Given the lack of medical coverage and seeking greater patient satisfaction, the Army of White Coats advocated for the reorganization and population consolidation of several geographically close clinics, especially in rural areas such as San Antonio, La Alina, La Tomatera, Las Margaritas, Las Parras, San Diego, Las Tusas, La Vallita, Otero, Las Pérez Pérez, and Ortigal.

The above proposal aims to maintain active medical and nursing care in key locations, far from the municipality’s urban center.

Although the strategy to improve the Family Doctor and Nurse Practitioner Program in Florida still leaves some dissatisfaction related to the poor physical condition and lack of running water in a group of locations, it is gratifying to acknowledge the presence of fixed communication media or corporate lines activated with data and minutes that facilitate the performance of the Basic Health Team and the resolution of processes in all active offices in this Camagüey municipality.
