Florida, June 19 – Farmers from the Alberto Becerra Rosado Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) in the municipality of Florida are taking advantage of the optimal rainy season to boost their annual milk collection plan for the industry.
With a daily increase of more than 400 liters compared to previous months, the dairy farmers of the entity, and others in its surrounding area, currently sell approximately two thousand liters of milk to the state each day of collection at the refrigerated water heater installed on CCS farms.
Misael Hernández Gutiérrez, a member of the National Committee of the farmer organization and president of the Alberto Becerra cooperative in Florida, expressed satisfaction with his group’s response to the demand to deliver as much milk as possible during the optimal stage of the spring campaign.
Among the strengths of this production base are the installed capacity at its milk reception and cooling point, which is used by the cooperative’s herds and others in the surrounding area. It also has a board of directors whose priority is the systematic oversight and attention to farmers and their most pressing demands.
