Florida, May 16 – “The Party is the soul of the Revolution, and the first task of the communists is to strengthen the organization on the basis of unity, political work, exemplarity and control to transform socioeconomic and productive indicators in each place, with the support and trust of the people”.
This was defined by the first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Camagüey, Walter Simón Noris, in the conclusions of the integral control of that body to the municipality of Florida, during which nine of the 11 Popular Councils of the territory were visited to check the functioning of social, economic and basic services activities in each one.
The main deficiencies detected by the different work commissions were analyzed, among which stood out the deficit of water supply in several communities, delays in the payment of salaries, social security in rural areas, incomplete teaching staff and lack of hygiene in schools, failures in medical assistance, non-compliance in the collection of milk and delays in the sowing of priority crops such as yucca and plantain.
The party audit of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Florida also analyzed the progress of the policy of leading cadres; the performance of the mass organizations; the fight in social networks and the link with the people.
“It is necessary to break the inertia and banish the immobility and lack of responsibility in the face of the problems affecting a heroic people that under the impact of the iron imperialist blockade continues to accompany and defend its Revolution,” said Walter Simón Noris, and gave as an example the more than 314 thousand Camagüeyans who participated in the May Day parades.
At the end of the summary of the Integral Control of the Provincial Party Bureau to the municipality of Florida, the authorities of that level recognized the effort of those who contribute here, every day, the best of themselves in productive, social and political, governmental and administrative leadership missions, and called to battle to get a new venue for the provincial event for July 26 in 2025.
