Process for a Safer Camagüey concluded in Florida

Florida, Mar. 28 – The municipality of Florida concluded the process of information and community debate For a Safer Camagüey, a necessary exchange in these times that reached all the local government’s base districts.

The 80 meetings of this type held here in the same number of districts gathered more than 600 members of the community working groups, together with neighbors and administrative and political authorities, to analyze issues of social interest related to the strategy of electro-energy recovery, food production, banking, the fight against crime and the strengthening of neighborhood and mass structures, among others.

According to the information provided by the vice-presidency of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power (AMPP) in Florida, as a result of the meeting, about 590 interventions were made by members of community groups and neighbors of the different districts, guests and visitors regarding concerns and demands for basic services, clarification of doubts and proposals for solutions to common problems, calls for unity and statements related to the support for the Revolution and the Cuban political system.

The knowledge of what is exposed in the documents of the community process For a Safer Camagüey, together with the contributions made in each meeting, should be extended to the rest of the inhabitants of the municipality in search of consensus and drive to the tasks that contribute to the local and national socioeconomic growth, and to a greater collective conscience in the defense of the Revolution and the conquests of socialism in the current situation.
