Annual Public Health Balance Assembly held in Florida (+Audio and Post)

Florida, Feb. 1 – The Maternal and Infant program, its main results and challenges, were the focus of the debates of the Annual Balance Assembly of the Public Health sector in Florida, with the participation of the directors of the different health care centers and the highest authorities of the Government and the Communist Party in the municipality.

The space was propitious to learn that the territory decreased infant and maternal mortality in 2024, compared to the previous year, for which Dr. Ennis González Carrazana, General Director of Public Health in Florida, congratulated those responsible for the referred program and the collective of the Integrated Medical Emergency System of the locality for the effort deployed despite the lack of material resources and urged the collectives to surpass the results achieved in each one of the institutions of the sector.

In the Health Balance, the achievements of the Hemodialysis Room attached to the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo Pediatric Hospital, an institution where 29 patients from Florida and the municipalities of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Esmeralda receive attention, a service that relieves people who used to travel three times a week to the Nephrology Center of the provincial hospital of Camagüey, were recognized.

The representatives of the health areas with the Family Medical Offices, polyclinics, hospitals and the Florida Maternity Home ratified in this meeting their commitment to provide an excellent service as the Floridian population deserves.
