Floridian branch of José Martí Cultural Society has achieved Outstanding status.

Florida, Jan. 21 – The Municipality of Florida was recognized as Outstanding in the provincial Balance Assembly of the José Martí Cultural Society for the work carried out during the year 2024, informed its president, Master of Science Eleodoro Carvajal García.

This recognition is due to the participation of teachers and students in the Diamante con Alma de Beso and La Flauta de Chocolate contests, in addition to the results obtained in the Movimiento Juvenil Martiano of the territory.

Likewise, the work carried out in the different Martiano Clubs of the municipality was appreciated, with special mention to the Luis Casas Romero House of Culture, the José Luis Tassende de las Muñecas Special School, the Enrique José Varona Elementary School, the Trencito de la Alegría Children’s Circle and the three Associations that bring together people living with disabilities in the territory, who also praised the Cuban National Hero José Martí through community socio-cultural activities.
