Florida, Dec. 27 – The Sports Department in Florida received the recognition of the highest political and governmental authorities of the municipality, during the political and cultural act that greeted here the advent of the new anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, next January 1, 2025.
The Diploma and the public tribute recognize the commitment and dedication of the men and women of the sector for overcoming material shortages and maintaining the vitality of the Physical Culture and Sports programs, which are considered a priority in the Cuban State’s policy of promoting the healthy recreation of the population and contributing to improve their quality of life.
This public recognition is also given to those teachers, technicians and activists of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) of Florida who stepped forward when support forces were needed in the territory to put their shoulders to the wheel and speed up the stowage of food loads, to operate the fumigation “bazooka” and expand the scope of the anti-vector campaign, and to participate in mobilizations aimed at promoting local agricultural activity.
The recognition to the Floridian family of Physical Culture and Sports in salute to the new anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, also becomes a significant social commitment in the face of the labor and professional challenge of overcoming the economic shortages and improving, as much as possible, the development of the training program for athletes and the activities aimed at promoting healthy recreation of the population in the community.
