Fighting crime, a priority in Florida’s farming sector

Florida, Dec. 18 – The Directing Board of the Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios (CCS) Saturnino Aneiro Abella made a call to the more than 170 members of the entity during the last general assembly of the year to reinforce the fight against the crimes of theft and slaughter of large livestock in the current stage.

The collective of this productive base is included among the most outstanding of the territory with favorable results in the collection of milk and various crops, however, it also integrates the list of those affected by crimes against livestock in the Floridan region.

Consequently, the president of the cooperative, Jorge Daniel León Cruz, called to maintain daily vigilance on each farm and unity in the confrontation with criminals, especially in the final stretch of this month, in order to not give gaps for rustlers and slaughterers at the end of the year.

The general assembly at the CCS Saturnino Aneiro in Florida, was attended by representatives of the Government and the Directorate of Agriculture, together with the municipal president of the National Association of Small Farmers, Luis Enrique Arribas Rodríguez, who pointed out that the farmer organization he leads today demands from its associates an extraordinary effort with the objective of fulfilling the plans foreseen for the feeding of the people.
