Florida, Dec. 12 – A total of 10 works are in competition during the 26th edition of the Félix Agüero Román Music Creator Festival, one of the distinctive artistic events of the Floridian Culture Day, which is celebrated this year with a special character due to the Centennial of the constitution of the municipality.

During the first of the three days of the musical contest, the public and the jury were able to know and evaluate the entire catalog of songs presented on this occasion, where a predominance of ballads and boleros can be appreciated, although danceable and traditional genres such as Cuban timba and rumba are also included.

In this new edition of the Félix Agüero Román Festival, along with composers and voices from the Floridian municipality, authors and performers from Guantánamo, Holguín and Ciego de Avila will participate.

According to information from the Organizing Committee of this already traditional musical contest, to distinguish the authors and performers of the winning works, a Grand Prize and a Popularity Prize will be awarded, three first places will be defined, and awards will be given to the song with the most poetic flight and to the best singers in each gender.

Yesterday Wednesday, also in the evening, the second day of the Festival took place, in which the ten works in competition were presented, but in different order; and this Thursday will be the final gala and awards ceremony of the Floridian musical contest.
