Florida, Dec. 10 – La gala El artista que tú conoces, held at Pedro Loforte Sablón Trova House sponsored by Rubén Martínez Villena Public Library, was dedicated to Eduardo de Nelson May, instrumentalist of the Florida Municipal Concert Band.
Coworkers, friends, writers, industry workers, fans and art instructors joined in open communion to congratulate the prestigious musician, one of the personalities to whom this year’s Floridian Culture Week is dedicated, along with instructor Niurka Santana Cruz and sonero and cultural promoter Dani Danilo Pérez Achón.
Passages of Eduardo de Nelson’s life and work were presented at the event, highlighting his time in several musical groups, his memorable stay in Maravillas de Florida orchestra and his permanence in the centenary Municipal Concert Band where he performs as a flutist.
National Vanguard for four consecutive years, exemplary worker, deserving of awards and recognitions in his long and fruitful musical career, Eduardo de Nelson Maya thanked with emotion all the signs of sympathy and respect towards him in this gala that had the artistic direction of the experienced Yaxcel Lescaille Thomas.
